The string of big name signings for Impact Wrestling continues today with their announcement that 5-time Knockouts Champion Madison Rayne is returning to the company. With an already strong group of talent and the recent re-signing of Rosemary, this news adds yet another layer to Impact Wrestling’s women’s division.

Impact Wrestling is on a roll when it comes to locking down important talent. Yesterday, they announced that former champion Rosemary had signed a new contract. Last week, news broke that Impact’s 2018 Wrestler of the Year, “The Draw” Sami Callihan, had signed a new contract. Just one day later, the same news broke about rising star Fallah Bahh.

Impact Wrestling has followed up these reports by confirming the news on Twitter and crediting Wrestling Inc. which first reported it. With Rosemary, they chose to get ahead of reporting and announced it themselves on the Press Pass podcast. Today, they’ve done the same by announcing live on Twitch that 5-time Knockouts Champion Madison Rayne is returning to Impact Wrestling.

After some back and forth between Rayne and Mathews, the Knockouts Legend stated she is “officially home” and that she has “some unfinished business to take care of” in Impact Wrestling.

Rayne also discussed her previous return, which took place from late 2017 to late 2018. During that stint with the company, much of Madison Rayne’s story circled around her balancing being a mother with an in-ring return she herself said wasn’t expected. However, she stated this time she’s more focused and looks ready to get right into the mix. Impact also confirmed the news of Rayne’s return later via Twitter.

While there were a few brief periods where she branched out to other companies, most recently with Ring of Honor, Rayne has been with Impact Wrestling for most of the last decade. The first of her five reigns as Knockouts Champion began in April of 2010 when she defeated Tara. Rayne won the title on four more occasions, her last one coming in 2014 where she ultimately lost it to Angelina Love.

She’s also a former 2-time Knockouts Tag Team Champion, capturing the title once as part of The Beautiful People with Lacey Von Erich and Velvet Sky, and another time winning the title alongside Impact Wrestling Hall of Famer Gail Kim. Now, she looks to return to Impact and add to her already rich legacy.
