2. The Boss ‘N’ Hug Connection

In the midst of a continuing women’s evolution in the WWE, fans were calling for the long-awaited introduction of women’s tag team titles.  And when it was announced that the first-ever WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions would be crowned inside the Elimination Chamber, those fan hopes were brought to reality.

There were six teams involved in that match, but it just felt like it was going to be Sasha Banks and Bayley’s night from the start.  After starting out the match at a bit of a disadvantage, The Boss ‘N’ Hug Connection outlasted five other teams to walk out with the Women’s Tag Team Championship in an emotional moment.

However, there’s no time to celebrate anymore with new challengers nipping at the heels.

Nia Jax and Tamina have been a formidable team over the past few months, but they will get their chance at the big time when they challenge Banks and Bayley at Fastlane for the Women’s Tag Team Championship.

Jax and Tamina make a lot of sense as potential tag team champions for a multitude of reasons, but for this match, the titles need to stay in the hands of The Boss ‘N’ Hug Connection.

Banks and Bayley have only had the titles for about three weeks, so that would be far too short of a title reign for the inaugural champions.  Plus, them retaining could set up a big match at WrestleMania with the titles on the line against a number of possible teams, maybe even including legends.

It would just be too soon to take the titles off of Banks and Bayley, simple as that.

The Boss ‘N’ Hug Connection deserves to have a WrestleMania moment, so the best way to get there is a successful title defense at WWE Fastlane.
