Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal

Matt Hardy won the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal last year thanks to some help from Bray Wyatt, and the two ended up partnering together, becoming Raw Tag Team Champions in the summer in what was an entertaining pairing while it lasted.

This year’s winner will be extremely difficult to predict, but WWE could roll with Braun Strowman or Drew McIntyre if they can’t find a match for either of them at WrestleMania. In the past, we’ve seen bigger and stronger superstars like The Big Show, Baron Corbin, Mojo Rawley, and Cesaro win this Battle Royal, which is named after one of WWE’s most larger-than-life wrestlers, but it’d also be cool to see a true underdog win.

Like, could you imagine if recent NXT Call-Up Ricochet were to win in a surprising babyface victory? That could be a star-making performance for Ricochet, and the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal needs to feel more important by having that kind of star-making moment. Mojo won two years ago with Rob Gronkowski’s help, but WWE failed to take full advantage of that. Well, to be fair, they did put the title on runner-up Jinder Mahal.

It’s really a crapshoot, but I wouldn’t put it past WWE to have Braun win the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal one year after winning the Raw Tag Team Championships with Nicholas as his partner.

Prediction: Braun Strowman
