WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal

Naomi won the first ever WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal last year, picking up her second big ‘Mania victory in a row; she won the SmackDown Women’s Championship in her hometown of Orlando at WrestleMania 33.

The field will be wide open, once again, at this year’s WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal, but I have a feeling Lacey Evans is winning this match. It seems like WWE wants to push her as one of the next big stars in the Women’s Division, regardless of the reservations many fans have about her character.

Evans has been making random interruptions on Raw and SmackDown lately, as WWE wants to get her to frustrate the fans as much as possible. She will be positioned as one of the promotion’s top heels this year, and it seems like WWE are interested in making her and Mandy Rose two of their most hated characters. With Rose on SmackDown, I’d expect Evans to become Raw’s top female heel this year. I wouldn’t consider it impossible for her to win the Raw Women’s Championship in 2019, too, but we’ll see what the future holds for the former NXT star.

A WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal victory seems like an easy way to propel Evans in this direction, and I’m sure her win would be roundly booed by the WWE Universe in New York City.

Prediction: Lacey Evans
