3. Seth Rollins will be a fighting champion

In the near 3 years since the WWE Universal Title was introduced, it has been defending 5 times on television. Let me reiterate, the primary championship in the most widely recognized promotion Worldwide has been defending on cable or network television 5 times in almost 3 years!

Do you see something wrong with this picture?

Seth Rollins has been a fighting champion over the last couple of years. Issuing open challenges for the Intercontinental title last year, Rollins as a top flight baby face is golden in the ring and will bring the WWE Universal title to heights we haven’t seen on the RAW brand.

The list of worthy challengers is a mile long. Picture Rollins reigniting his feud with Drew McIntyre in a large venue on a Monday night. You can follow up Rollins’ title victory at WrestleMania the next night and have him defend the gold against Bobby Lashley. Let’s say Lashley loses  his Intercontinental title at WrestleMania. Lashley proceeds to beat up his manager Lio Rush, kicking him to the curb.

Brock Lesnar takes his usual hiatus from the company and out walks Paul Heyman on Monday night in front of the hottest crowd of the year on RAW and introduces his new client, Bobby Lashley. Heyman as a mouthpiece for a worthy threat would loom large as Rollins defends the title against Lashley.

Rollins could also take on his sometime friend and better rival Finn Balor in a contest that fans around the World want to see especially since Balor was the first Universal champion, defeating Rollins to become the title holder at Summerslam in 2016.

Their contests are always must see TV and a feud for the title would only enhance the stakes, and the chances these men would take against one another would only heighten their encounter.
