The Kevin Owens Show featuring Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair

Next up we got an edition of The Kevin Owens Show with special guests Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair. Kevin Owens was in classic over the top host fashion, and did so with great literal fashion. Owens started by talking about how heated issues can become between best friends.

The crowd immediately took the bait, cheering for Owens’ best friend Sami Zayn who is rumored to be due back in WWE any day now. Owens ignored that, instead turning to Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair and explaining that no one wants to see them talk anymore. Owens took his “Fight Owens Fight” catchphrase, and changed it up to “Fight Becky Fight” and “Fight Charlotte Fight.”

The actions by Kevin Owens worked as expected. Lynch and Flair stepped out in front of the table with Flair speaking first. She simply said she’d “beat the holy hell out of Becky.” Before Lynch could respond, Kevin Owens wisely stepped out of the ring. Seconds later, Becky Lynch popped Charlotte Flair in the mouth with a stiff jab and the brawl was on.

Neither woman was holding anything back, and things quickly spilled to the outside. Security struggled to get them apart at first, with one guard getting thrown head-first into the barricade by Becky Lynch. More referees and security finally got them separated, but their issues are clearly very far from over.

Grade: A, Kevin Owens was fantastic, and added to this already personal rivalry in a very simple way. The inability of Lynch and Flair to keep from tearing into each other makes their clash at ‘Mania extra exciting.

AJ Styles responds to Randy Orton

In another brief backstage segment, we heard from AJ Styles who is scheduled to face Randy Orton at WrestleMania 35 in just 19 days. Last week, Orton talked about the work he did to build SmackDown when AJ Styles was still outside of WWE, but Styles had a stiff response to that. AJ Styles made it clear that WrestleMania isn’t about building, but tearing things down and getting one-up on Randy Orton.

Grade: B, This segment was decent. AJ Styles vs Randy Orton is a dream match, but this didn’t do much to build added excitement.
