With WrestleMania 35 officially in the history books, that means we’re in the new year for WWE. While the Royal Rumble is when it cranks up, the road to WrestleMania 36 in Tampa Bay has already begun.

WrestleMania 35 is only days old, and it was truly an event to remember. Whether it’s the culmination of KofiMania, the crowning of The IIconics, or the birth of Becky Two Belts, this will be a WrestleMania for the ages.

However, the end of this event means it’s time to look to the future. WrestleMania 36 will descend upon Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida on April 5, 2020. The home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, massive pirate ship included, will host WWE’s yearly extravaganza, and there’s already speculation about the kind of matches we’ll see next year.

More from WrestleMania

With an eye on the future, here’s a glimpse of what the WrestleMania 36 card might look like. This year, we had 16 matches, four of which took place during the Kickoff Show. With the tendency of WWE to make WrestleMania as long as they please, we can expect roughly the same kind of event next year.

All titles were defended, and hopefully that trend will continue. Of course, there are a few matches we can almost guarantee will take place. There’s also the question of the Superstar Shake-Up coming next week, and superstars who could move by winning the Royal Rumble or Money in the Bank, so some of these placements assume moves could be made to facilitate them.

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal & WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal

These two matches have become a staple of WrestleMania, and that’s unlikely to change at WrestleMania 36. They provide an opportunity to get tons of superstars who worked hard throughout the year but missed the main card onto the event, and give a chance to boost the winner of each respective match.

There could also be a celebrity involvement like we saw at WrestleMania 35 with Colin Jost and Michael Che, or Shaq at WrestleMania 32. Hopefully, they’ll also continue the trend of putting NXT talents in the match. It gives deserving talent a chance to taste the spotlight, and get a brief introduction to the main roster audience.
