8. Mustafa Ali

Mustafa Ali, or just Ali depending on your positive or negative outlook on WWE, has no chance of winning the briefcase. He is the first of two Kofi Kingston replacements who is there to fill out the card with a few big spots and enough hype to make the match live long in memory. If Braun Strowman were still involved, Ali would just be there to be a victim. Thankfully, not so any more.

So why does Ali have no chance? Well, there is a lack of momentum, a lack of storyline and a lack of development. Ali was briefly pushed strong but since his injury shepherded in the era of Kofi, Ali has been a bit part player at best and doesn’t look at all likely to be involved much more heavily in future.

Hopefully a feud with Buddy Murphy or maybe a more major player heel like Kevin Owens will see Ali rewarded with a push towards an Intercontinental title run. Until then, Ali is just there to fill the numbers.
