Brock Lesnar announces, through advocate Paul Heyman, that he will cash-in on Seth Rollins on WWE Raw on June 3. Is this actually going to happen?

In a video posted on Paul Heyman’s Twitter page on Friday, the advocate for “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar claims that his client will indeed cash-in his Money in the Bank contract on WWE Raw this Monday night.

This is in direct response to the video released by Stephanie McMahon the day prior, condemning Lesnar and Heyman for, among other things, misleading the WWE Universe with a cash-in announcement then not following through.

Brock and Heyman have made it clear, over and over, that Brock Lesnar will cash-in when Brock Lesnar is ready to cash-in. That makes me believe that there will not be a true cash-in this week. It would not fit Brock’s character.

Corey Graves said it best when Lesnar opened Raw with his “Brock Party” this past week.

"“All Brock Lesnar does is what Brock Lesnar wants to do.” -Corey Graves"

I see no way Lesnar is cashing in his briefcase until SummerSlam.

Even if he does, WWE’s recent history has given no reason to believe that Lesnar will compete in any match on a random June Raw (he’s a big-money pay-per-view fighter, you guys.) Perhaps WWE officials saw that the audience actually enjoyed Brock’s dancing routine and want to bring back some of his heat.

WWE needs to be careful with this situation, though. If Lesnar does not actually hand the briefcase over to the referee and attempt to win the title, it will be two straight weeks of advertising something that ultimately doesn’t happen. With so many fans frustrated with the current product, they are walking a fine line with the risk of losing even more of their audience.

More from Raw

My guess for Monday is that Heyman’s line about Lesnar cashing in between 8-11PM was a clue. Brock will tease multiple attempts. I think he’ll have Rollins looking over his shoulder the entire night.

I believe he will make a final attempt minutes before 11PM, only to have something keep the match from officially starting. The interruption could be Kofi Kingston running in because he wants Lesnar, Baron Corbin attacking Rollins, or even a Bray Wyatt appearance. The clock will move beyond 11PM and Brock will grab his briefcase and leave the arena, ready to strike another time.

I feel like this is trying to lead to a bigger program where Lesnar and Heyman are involved with Triple H and Stephanie. However, Triple H is preoccupied with Randy Orton at Super ShowDown, so this could be a placeholder for the week until that show is finished. It wouldn’t make sense for Stephanie to get involved like she has and there be no payoff.

Also, there are rumblings about The Authority being on-screen more to combat the things AEW is doing with Cody and Brandi Rhodes. I hope, whatever the endgame is, WWE has this mapped out. I fear they are flying by the seat of their pants on a daily basis, and that never ends well.

It will be interesting to see how WWE Raw plays out, which has been something people haven’t said in a quite a while.
