Impact Wrestling Slammiversary 2019: Full card preview and predictions

Intergender Match: Sami Callihan vs. Tessa Blanchard
Sami Callihan has built a reputation of being involved in the hottest storylines on Impact Wrestling PPV’s. July 7th will be no different when he continues his war on the Knockouts against Tessa Blanchard. Scarlett Bordeaux initiated the rivalry, with Tessa Blanchard standing up for The Smokeshow and all the other women in the locker room.
Callihan expressed interest in treating the women equally. His demonstrations of this have been nothing but sinister, attacking Blanchard with a baseball bat and spiking her with a Cactus Special. He has vowed to make Tessa bleed at Slammiversary, but the third generation star is determined to prove that she can lock it up with the best, man or woman.
Tessa continues to gain steam in the industry, with a win here possibly setting her up for a big clash with another male competitor at Bound For Glory. This will be the match of the night and be an absolute thrill to watch.
Prediction: Tessa Blanchard
Impact World Championship Match: Brian Cage (c) vs. Michael Elgin

Impact Wrestling’s last PPV offering featured the debut of Michael Elgin, following Brian Cage’s title win. Elgin would send Cage to the hospital, putting the champ on the shelf for weeks. Ever since Cage made his return, he has come after his challenger with no restraint.
Big Mike recently tried to put his opponent away once more with four powerbombs including one through a table on the outside. Don Callis would then threaten the former IWGP Intercontinental Champion, who responded by attacking him.
After teasing an Elgin Bomb to the boss, The Machine rose up, ripping his neck brace off and going to war with Unbreakable, Michael Elgin. This one is a clear product of Don Callis, proved by his love for ’90s All Japan.
This will be a battle between two true heavyweights, delivering stiff shots to each other until there is one man standing. With this being Cage’s first defense, I can’t see him losing here. Brian Cage will retain in what could be an absolutely phenomenal match.
Prediction: Brian Cage
