The United States Championship match between Ricochet and AJ Styles at WWE Extreme Rules 2019 was an absolute classic, and it featured another insane highlight from “The One and Only”.

It’s safe to say that Ricochet has been the fast-rising star in WWE this year. Although he couldn’t defeat AJ Styles at WWE Extreme Rules 2019, losing to an Avalanche Styles Clash, he pushed The Phenomenal One to his limit. In fact, Styles couldn’t have won the match without interference from Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson at ringside.

Ricochet won the United States Championship just months into his main roster career and even defeated Styles in the main event of Raw, prior to losing the title at Extreme Rules in a hard-fought classic. There’s little doubt that Ricochet, who has already become one of WWE’s top workhorses with all his singles matches and tag matches with Aleister Black, has a bright future ahead of him.

And part of the reason for Ricochet’s rising stock in WWE is moves like this. Like, seriously, he did Parkour off of AJ Styles’s face. I mean, how on Earth is that even possible?

The Styles vs. Ricochet match at Extreme Rules had plenty of great spots and memorable moments, including Ricochet’s Shooting Star Press that was thwarted from the finish by Anderson begging the ref to check Styles’s foot under the rope, but this flip from Ricochet takes the cake.

They don’t call him “The One and Only” for nothing. Or The King. Or The GOAT. Wait, they don’t call him that yet. (Isn’t that Tino Sabbatelli’s nickname?) But they will. Soon.

It’s unclear what’s next for Ricochet, but an Intercontinental Title feud with Shinsuke Nakamura or even a one-off match against former tag team partner Aleister Black could be intriguing. Hell, it doesn’t matter who he faces. Ricochet can do stuff like that flip, so he can put on a classic with just about anyone on the roster.
