10. Kevin Owens

When Kevin Owens returned to the main roster, it seemed that he lost his place in the WWE, as evidenced by his ceaseless failures to capture the WWE Championship. However, things have turned around for him ever since he turned into a formidable babyface.

At Extreme Rules, he executed a gorgeous Stunner on Dolph Ziggler, and won the match in record time. In fact, his match with Ziggler was probably shorter than Shinsuke Nakamura’s United States Championship match with Jeff Hardy last year at Extreme Rules.

Other than the expeditious victory, he cut a remarkable promo, conveying his frustrations with how the McMahon family runs the WWE as of late. He paid particular attention to his frustrations with Shane McMahon, whom he feels has been taking TV time away from other WWE superstars who deserve to be on the weekly episodes of Raw and SmackDown.

It seems that Owens will be revisiting his feud with Shane McMahon from 2017 as he aims to be the rebellious voice of the voiceless who speaks for the WWE locker room as well as the WWE fanbase all around the world.

Now, that sounds like someone who is the “best in the world.”

9. Aleister Black

Aleister Black, who was originally supposed to be showcased on Monday Night Raw post-Superstar Shake Up, had also lost his place in the WWE since joining SmackDown Live.

He was stuck in a room for 8 weeks or more, restlessly pleading for any superstar to challenge him. Meanwhile, most superstars on the roster are chasing the 24/7 Champion backstage, inside elevators, on airplanes, on golf courses, and even at weddings.

After making Black wait for so long, Cesaro eventually challenged him on the week before Extreme Rules. Black defeated Cesaro in what was a very technically sound match at Extreme Rules. Now that he had finally won a match since moving to SmackDown Live, he can now look forward to greater challengers and perhaps a championship in the near future.
