PC: Do you have a bucket list of things you want to accomplish in your career as a professional wrestler?

AQA: I did. I did have like a goal list, and it was long. But I taught myself—because I deal with anxiety a lot. And I’m the type of person, if I don’t reach my goal by a certain time, or if it’s coming up to that time and I haven’t got anywhere near it, it’ll psych me out a little bit.

So what I’ve done now is I’ve taken a step back, and I’m only giving myself like one or two goals at a time. So, my goals right now, like of course everyone wants to get signed, but I’m not being picky. I’m not like ‘oh, I only wanna go here, I only wanna go here.’ Because I’m just grateful for the opportunity.

But my number one goal, and it’s gonna be my goal no matter wherever I go, is I’ve always said I just want to be able to be involved in something that allows me to tell a story that’s gonna stand the test of time. I want to be able to have a match that’s gonna be considered one of the classics that’s gonna be in a video package one day.

I wanna have a match that someone might study one day.  Like ‘hey, refer to this match, go watch AQA versus whoever.’ Like that is my ultimate goal, to be able to tell a story that stands the test of time.

PC: If you could wrestle anyone in wrestling history, even if they’re no longer competing, who would you choose?

AQA: So one of my favorite wrestlers of all time is Triple H, but we all know that won’t happen, but the one person I do want to wrestle more than anyone right now, I wanna wrestle Charlotte. She is my favorite women’s wrestler. I wanna wrestle Charlotte Flair, or I would love to wrestle Natalya.

I think that I would be able to have a great match with them, and I think with one of those two I would be able to tell the story that I was telling you about because their psychology and their ring work is just beyond them. And I think that I would be able to have a great match with them.

But of course, it’s gonna take time to get there, but hopefully by the time, if I was able to get there that would happen. And I would love to have another match with Kylie Rae. I wrestled her earlier on in my career. And I think that by the time I grow more and I learn more, that by the time that I get a higher level or something, that Kylie and I could really tear it up as well.

PC: If you could say one thing to fans who have followed you from the beginning, what would you say?

AQA: I would say thank you for believing in me. Thank you for always supporting me. And thank you for encouraging me to continue. Because there are a lot of days where, like I said, I feel like I don’t belong here and I feel like I’m not learning or getting better. And then I’ll get a message or a tweet. I got one a few days ago. And one of my little fans, her name is Jersey, and she keeps me going.

Like, she made a video a while back. She was getting bullied, and she was listing all these WWE superstars and then she was like ‘AQA.’ And we were some of the wrestlers that helped her get through her hard time. And for me to have only had like 10 matches at that point, it just made me feel so overwhelmed with joy and love. And like, oh my god, someone out there is like looking up to me. And I keep in touch with her. I message her when I can and I make sure she’s doing alright and everything.

All I can say is just thank you for the support. Because it’s really the fans that are going to make you who you are. You can be a great wrestler, you can be a great entertainer, but if no one’s showing up to see you, then what does it mean? And every time I sign an autograph or anything, I always say, the first thing I say is thank you for the support and thank you for encouraging me to do better.

PC: If you could say one thing to fans who don’t know you yet, what would you say?

AQA: I would say keep your eyes open. I think you’re gonna be in for a shock. I do a lot of things that a lot of female wrestlers haven’t done, or don’t do, or haven’t done in a while. I think I’m something new and I’m something fresh. I wanna bring something different to the table. I hope to be that one wrestler that brings somebody back into wrestling or makes someone a fan.

Because I know what it was like to watch wrestling and have someone inspire me, and I’d go ‘okay, that makes me want to be a wrestler.’ Or someone, you see it all the time online, ‘oh I haven’t watched wrestling in such amount of years.’ I would love to be the person that they look at and go ‘she is the reason why I’m gonna become a fan again.’
