WWE SummerSlam 2019 3 Bold Predictions: Kevin Owens quits WWE
By Mark Justice
1.) Shane McMahon Ends Kevin Owens’ Career
Although WWE SummerSlam is in Canada this year, all the Canadian wrestlers could very well find themselves to be unlucky. Other than the expected losses of Natalya and Trish Stratus, Kevin Owens could very well find himself on that list.
However, this could be the biggest loss of them all since Owens’ career is on the line. When Owens defeated Shane McMahon at WWE Hell In A Cell 2017, he won, thanks to the clutch rescue by his best friend and “guardian angel,” Sami Zayn.
This time, Zayn may not be there for Owens, which could lead to a Shane McMahon victory. Considering that Shane is now regarded as the “best in the world,” he has not lost a singles match since obtaining that moniker in November 2018.
Also, considering that Owens has no further direction for his career other than being the second-rate Stone Cold Steve Austin wannabe, maybe his time has come to a close. Owens should be a top star in WWE and should not always have to put his career on the line to make his match seem important, like he did in the past with Sami Zayn against Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura at Clash of Champions 2017.
If provoked, he can beat a McMahon senseless. However, it does not necessitate a victory for someone who should be in the main event scene but is instead relegated to a match against Shane McMahon.
Like Steve Austin did in the past, Owens can leave and come back whenever he wants. This stipulation won’t come to waste and could definitely have big implications.
It won’t be goodbye to Owens forever. It will only be goodbye to Owens until bigger plans are created for him because it doesn’t make sense for him to be in senseless feuds that won’t help his career in any way, shape, or form.
