WWE NXT: Roderick Strong must fulfill the Undisputed prophecy

We are less than two weeks away from WWE premiering NXT live on the USA Network. There, Velveteen Dream will defend his North American Championship vs. Roderick Strong.

Their ongoing feud has beckoned for months now. The future WWE main roster bound prospect has been feuding with the underling of the Undsiputed Era for quite some time now. More recently, Roderick Strong earned a shot at the champion after pinning him during a six man tag team match on the Jun. 19 episode of NXT.

Except, rather than a one-on-one opportunity, Strong had to contest with a triple threat at TakeOver: Toronto alongside an intervening Pete Dunne. Velveteen Dream retained by pinning Dunne, not Strong.

Now, Strong will finally get his one-on-one shot against The Dream on the first ever live episode of NXT that will air on USA Network. For the special premiere episode to feel truly special, Roderick Strong needs to win and complete the Undisputed prophecy.

For several months now, The Undisputed Era have predicted that 2019 is the year that their group will hold all of the men’s championships under the black and gold brand. It was at TakeOver XXV that Adam Cole first set the prophecy in motion by defeating Johnny Gargano for the NXT Championship. Then, just a few weeks back on the Aug. 28 episode of NXT, we saw Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish win the NXT Tag Team Titles from The Street Profits.

Now, Strong has to complete that puzzle. Not only for the sake of Undisputed Era, but for the sake of NXT as a brand. Their first live episode on USA Network is expected to be a huge occasion, but to be huge, it must also be memorable. Seeing all of the gold in the grasp of the show’s top villain stable will make it both a moment worth talking about that’ll give it an early impact on Wednesday nights. In addition, it’ll be a moment we won’t soon forget and will remember years down the line.
