2. Give WWE a League System

I know what you’re thinking. “Bassam, what the hell does that mean?” Well, in different sports, “leagues” are developed to help group different teams to keep competition separate and competitive. soccer does this with each region having different leagues and levels, and sports like football, basketball, etc, have divisions, which are meant to bring out the best of the best while having order.

The idea of a league is mainly to rank the competition and tier the quality of performers. WWE does this already with the idea of the Main Roster and developmental. Though some people are opposed to this (especially since NXT provides better quality than Raw and SmackDown), I actually like the idea of different tiers.

That’s what makes WrestleMania and the Takeover before exciting. Trying to cram all brand on all shows would be oversaturation. Thus, a league system will help maintain a distinct difference. WWE should continue to do this with its shows, but in a way that is more recognizable by sports fans.

After its move to USA Network, NXT is expected to be treated as equal with Raw and SmackDown, but NXT has something special and it deserves to keep that special bubble separate from the other shows.

WWE should have a “Classic League” that incorporates Raw and SmackDown, and a “Future League” that incorporates NXT and NXT UK. This will help give each brand grouping its own distinct feel. What WWE does not want to do is make NXT feel more like Raw and SmackDown. No, no, no.

3. Absorb 205 Live into NXT following Cancellation.

Rumors are circulating that 205 Live will be cancelled and merge into NXT. If true, this is a blessing in disguise because the 205 Live audiences were undeserving of the high-caliber of matches the Cruiserweights were delivering. Moving these wrestlers to NXT will give them a consistent home in front of fans that appreciate great wrestling.

The Cruiserweight Title should become a second midcard belt for NXT that could help elevate wrestlers as they work their way up the ladder on the black and gold brand. You can even keep the weight classification for the belt to help highlight certain wrestlers, like a Mansoor.

Certain wrestlers I would like to see go to NXT UK instead, which boils down to Jack Gallagher and Oney Lorcan. Their styles would mesh well with the type of wrestling we see on NXT UK, and that transition can be successful, like it was for Noam Dar.

4.  Add a Midcard Title to NXT UK

Speaking of the British brand, NXT UK has a deep pool of wrestlers, but only one men’s championship. Having another belt would only help highlight the dedication those wrestlers give on a weekly basis. Adding the North American Championship to NXT has helped that brand’s midcard division out tremendously. Let’s get something like that for NXT UK.

Who here remembers the European Title? Let’s have people like Cesaro, Kassius Ohno, and Ilja Dragunov having bangers for that title. Sign. Me. Up.
