Cash-In and Come-Up – Nov. 22, 2010

Come on, now, did you think we could possibly look back at The Miz’s most career defining moments in the WWE and not talk about his WWE Championship win? It’d be blasphemous not to.

Moments after successfully defending his WWE Championship against Wade Barrett and having his leg decimated the whole time, Randy Orton was disheartened to learn The Miz decided to cash-in his Money in the Bank briefcase (which he had held since July at this point) right then and there. Minutes later, The Miz was holding the WWE Championship above his head.

It was a moment meme’d to death because of a particular angry little girl in the crowd, but we’re sure if the camera could pan at around at every other single audience member in the same moment, then a lot of fans were in the crowd would’ve had the same expression. Whether it was legitimate or all in the fun of booing a bad guy, everyone loved to hate The Miz.

And that’s the beauty of this moment. After being overlooked for so long by both his peers and fans, after few expected him to stick to the sport, Miz proved all of his haters wrong and reached the pinnacle of his profession.

You love to see it.
