Dominik Dijakovic, Keith Lee, and Roderick Strong

Last week, one of these slides was used to heap praise on Keith Lee and Dominic Dijakovic’s titanic rubber match that determined the number one contender to Roderick Strong’s NXT North American Championship, a match that Strong ruined by flipping through his book of horrible evil plans and using the worst one.

Fortunately, Strong’s character’s stupidity meant we would see Lee and Dijakovic clash once more, this time in a triple threat match with Strong for Strong’s title.

In case you were wondering how a match featuring two of the best big men in the business and the highly-regarded workhorse that is Roddy Strong went, here’s a quick spoiler: They had one of the best matches of the night for either show.

Dijakovic and Lee spent most of the match trading their usual assortment of big strikes and highspots that must be seen to be believed.

It played well into the finish, as both men disposed of Strong on the outside before renewing hostilities for a few seconds. Lee ultimately won the exchange, but he and Dijakovic’s tussle opened the door for Strong to capitalize, pin Lee and retain his title.

Since moving to USA Network in late September, NXT has brought the heat with some great main events and this match was no different.
