Becky Lynch vs. Kairi Sane

After a week of absolutely no women’s wrestling (many were elsewhere on tour in Australia, but some women like Sarah Logan, Natalya and Liv Morgan were available, but not used on Raw), Monday Night Raw will feature a high profile women’s match between one-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions and the Raw Women’s Champion.

This match is meant to capitalize off of the night after Hell in a Cell. That post-PPV Raw saw the former NXT Women’s Champion pin Becky Lynch during a Champion’s Showcase Tag Team Match, following an assisted green mist from Asuka. Now, the two champions go one on one in a non-title match.

Speaking of titles, this match takes place two nights before the next episode of NXT where The Kabuki Warriors will defend the championships against Tegan Nox and Dakota Kai of Team Kick. That being said, Sane can’t afford a loss here. By the same sword, unless WWE has plans for Lynch’s next PPV opponent to be one (or both) of the Kabuki Warriors, Lynch can’t afford another loss.

As much as I’d hate to see it, I can’t help but feel like WWE is going to give us a non-finish with this one, something they’ve offered so many times these last few weeks. I envision Lynch setting up her Dis-Arm-Her, Asuka attacks Lynch for the DQ, Kabukis attack Lynch after the match. Don’t be surprised if two women save Lynch to set up a Six Woman Tag later in the night.
