AEW Tag Team Division Power Rankings

Honorable Mention: The Dark Order (2-1-0) [Last Week: 5] and Dustin Rhodes & Sonny Kiss (1-0-0) [Last Week: Unranked]

In the tag team division, honorable mention goes out to The Dark Order and the new pairing of Dustin Rhodes and Sonny Kiss. The Dark Order has cooled off significantly since being eliminated from the AEW Tag Team Championship Tournament. Meanwhile, Rhodes and Kiss scored a tag team victory on AEW Dark over Peter Avalon and QT Marshall.

5. Best Friends (2-3-0) [Last Week: Honorable Mention]

While we haven’t seen them in tag team action since being eliminated from the AEW Tag Team Championship Tournament, Best Friends channeled their inner Rick & Morty this week in trios action along with Orange Cassidy. They picked up a fun win over Alex Reynolds, John Silver, and QT Marshall that keeps them just at the back of these rankings.

4. The Young Bucks (3-2-0) [Last Week: 3]

With Full Gear and an important collision with Proud ‘n’ Powerful looming, The Young Bucks looked to build some momentum this week. They teamed with Kenny Omega as The Elite to score a trios win over TH2 and Kip Sabian, but a post-match attack by Santana and Ortiz put a damper on their momentum.

3. Proud ‘n’ Powerful (1-0-0) [Last Week: 4]

Even with only one tag team match on their record, Santana and Ortiz have done much like Jon Moxley. Win-loss records be damned, their presence will be felt. They started that on Dynamite by destroying The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express and even putting Ricky Morton through the stage on Rick & Morty night. They followed that up by attacking The Young Bucks after their match, leaving them out on the ground with Full Gear on the horizon.

2. Lucha Brothers (4-2-0) [Last Week: 1]

The biggest match this week was between SCU and Lucha Brothers to crown the inaugural AEW World Tag Team Champions. If you somehow missed the show, you can probably already deduce from the placement of Lucha Brothers that they were not victorious. Pentagon and Fenix brought the fight, but AEW Dynamite just wasn’t their night.

1. SCU (3-2-0) [Last Week: 2]

Against all odds, SCU are the first-ever AEW World Tag Team Champions. After being nearly eliminated from the tournament by an attack from Lucha Brothers that sent Christopher Daniels to the hospital and still has him on the shelf, Scorpio Sky took his place alongside Kazarian and the duo has gone all the way to the top. It’s hard to articulate just how important this victory was for both these men, and how special it is to have these two veterans as the inaugural champions. S-C-UUUU!
