AEW Tag Team Division Power Rankings

Honorable Mention: The Young Bucks (Nick & Matt Jackson) (3-3-0) [Last Week: 4] and Best Friends (Trent & Chuck Taylor) (2-3-0) [Last Week: 5]

In the tag team division, honorable mention goes to teams that have stayed in the conversation despite some losses. The Young Bucks came up short against Proud ‘n’ Powerful at Full Gear but got the last laugh with The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express by their side. Best Friends took a singles loss when Trent took on PAC, which hampered their momentum from Rick & Morty night.

5. Private Party (Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy) (3-3-0) [Last Week: Unranked]

Private Party had a strong start to the week, but that came to a halt at Full Gear. They picked up a win over The Dark Order in the Bronze Medal Match to earn a spot in the three-way championship match at Full Gear, but unfortunately took the loss in that match and failed to capture the AEW World Tag Team Titles.

4. Lucha Brothers (Pentagon Jr & Rey Fenix) (4-3-0) [Last Week: 2]

Lucha Brothers were off to a really strong start in AEW, but a few weeks of tough losses have pushed them down the rankings. They lost to SCU in the finals of the AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament, and also failed to capture the titles at Full Gear. However, they didn’t take the fall in that match, and the post-match attack by Christopher Daniels means things probably aren’t over between these two teams.

3. The Inner Circle (Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara) (2-0-0) [Last Week: Unranked]

For the very first time, Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara of The Inner Circle burst into our AEW Tag Team Division Power Rankings. The pairing has won two-straight, first a few weeks ago by defeating Adam Page and Dustin Rhodes and again this week on Dynamite by defeating Adam Page and Kenny Omega. Now, Le Champion has leveraged that brief success into a title shot this week on Dynamite and The Inner Circle will look to add even more gold.

2. Proud ‘n’ Powerful (Santana & Ortiz) (2-0-0) [Last Week: 3]

While they’ve technically got the same record as their Inner Circle companions Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara, Santana and Ortiz picked up a big win at Full Gear as Proud ‘n’ Powerful. The duo pushed The Young Bucks to their limits, nailing Street Sweeper to take the victory. The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express ended up getting the last laugh after the match was over, but there’s no denying the momentum PnP built with that win.

1. SCU (Frankie Kazarian & Scorpio Sky) (4-2-0) [Last Week: 1]

At the top of the AEW Tag Team Division Power Rankings are Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky of SCU. After capturing the AEW World Tag Team Titles on the October 30th episode of Dynamite, these two-thirds of SCU went on to a tough title defense at Full Gear. They ultimately took another victory and retained their titles against Private Party and Lucha Brothers, with Christopher Daniels making his shocking return after the match dressed as Pentagon Jr before attacking Pentagon with Angel’s Wings.
