Seth Rollins vs. Andrade – Winner is Team Raw’s Captain for Survivor Series

Last week, Seth Rollins was named as the first WWE Superstar to join Team Raw in the 15-man Elimination Tag Team Match against Teams NXT and SmackDown for Survivor Series. He has since been joined by Drew McIntyre, Ricochet, Randy Orton and Kevin Owens. If you have been watching Raw these past few weeks, you’ll notice one noticeably absent name from the team is Andrade, who has gone on something of an undefeated streak as of late.

Both Andrade and his manager, Zelina Vega, vocally took umbrage to this over social media, arguing for why Andrade should be put at the “forefront” of Team Raw, yet alone actually be on the team. Seth Rollins had his own social media response in a video posted to Instagram that was recorded and posted right after his house show main event in Regensburg, Germany, where he challenged Andrade for the Team Captain spot in a match tonight.

While it’s not impossible to imagine Andrade pulling off an upset (it’d likely be via shenanigans) given the hot streak he’s been on as of late, I don’t see it happening. Don’t rule out the idea completely, but given how deep the story of Rollins’ redemption arc is rooted in him overcoming NXT these last few weeks, I can’t see WWE abandoning that arc so early for a shocking moment.

Expect a great match between these two, but this’ll just be a heater leading us into Survivor Series.
