WWE: 5 men who could possibly join Team NXT at Survivor Series
WWE Survivor Series takes place in Chicago, Illinois on Nov. 25. Survivor Series is known for its five on five matches. This year’s event will be no different.
In one of the matches on the WWE Survivor Series card, there will be five wrestlers from RAW, five wrestlers from SmackDown and five wrestlers from NXT. The RAW team features Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, Kevin Owens, Randy Orton and Ricochet. The SmackDown team will consist of Roman Reigns, Mustafa Ali, Braun Strowman, King Corbin, and Chad Gable. As of this writing, the NXT team has not yet been announced.
Whoever they turn out to be, the five NXT wrestlers will have an incredible opportunity to wrestle at Survivor Series against the top talent on RAW and SmackDown.
Here are five potential wrestlers for the NXT team at Survivor Series
Triple H
Triple H has been the constant figurehead of NXT. The fingerprints on so many of today’s RAW and SmackDown wrestlers are from The Game himself from seeds he planted in NXT. Everyone in this match except Randy Orton has spent time down there. Even at his age, the name “Triple H” still carries equity with the fans. If he is wrestling, it immediately becomes a must see event.
That doesn’t mean that Triple H should shoehorn himself in the match to steal the spotlight. It means that regardless of who deserves this moment and who doesn’t, he is still a must see wrestler.
Everyone in NXT has been presented in an intimidating fashion, but Triple H still commands the screen like no one else. Triple H being eliminated at any stage of the match won’t damage his or NXT’s reputation. Due to his advanced age, Triple H in a 15-man tag team is a great opportunity for him to hit a few good moves and get the crowd engaged.
The King of Kings establishes more credibility for NXT. In storyline, this match could mean so much to Triple H that he wants ensure NXT wins. With a great deal of NXT talent taking place in War Games the night before, it makes sense to add Triple H to a stacked Survivor Series match.
