Nine days away from the TLC PPV, WWE SmackDown emanates from the Crown Complex to deliver Roman Reigns vs. Dolph Ziggler and follow up on The Fiend and Daniel Bryan.

“Quiet on the set, can we please have quiet on the set?!” as The Miz kicks off WWE SmackDown with another episode of Miz TV. He says he was going to open the show with Daniel Bryan as his guest, but after what The Fiend did to him last week, that will not happen.

In fact, The Miz says no one has seen Bryan since last week’s incident.

He points out him and Bryan are not friends and may never see eye to eye, but he understands how important he is to SmackDown. To Miz’s own surprise, he cares and wants to find out what happened to Daniel Bryan.

Cue the Firefly Fun House theme as Bray Wyatt appears on the titantron. He’s impressed with Miz’s enthusiasm to learn the truth, but Bray promises that Miz may not want to know what happened to Bryan. In fact, Bray himself doesn’t know. Only “he” knows and “he” isn’t finished playing with Bryan.

Bray worries that Bryan may not make it back in time to play at TLC. Since Miz is being a “snooper snooperoo,” Bray suggests that Miz may want to play at TLC instead. Miz refuses to play Bray’s games. He just wants to know what happened to Bryan because Bryan is like “family” to the WWE Universe.

Bray says “family” is the word of the day. He recalls his time with The Wyatt Family and says he’s ready to join a new family, as he pulls out a picture frame of The Miz with his wife and children. Miz immediately drops the mic and storms off to the back.

Grade: A

Loved how incredibly eerie this segment was, even for the usual Firefly Fun House segment. I legit got chills when Wyatt pulled out that frame of Miz’s family. Plus, these are two of the best talkers in WWE and their delivery was perfectly on point from start to finish. Now I genuinely want to see Miz vs. Fiend.

Back from commercial, backstage, Miz tries to calm his wife, Maryse, that she has nothing to worry about, but Miz doesn’t want to risk anything. He tells her to lock the doors and he’s on the way home right now.
