Now before the Internet explodes upon reading the title of this article – and the online Wrestling Community loses the minds, let me start off by saying – I’m not a huge fan of Brock Lesnar.

Sure, I can appreciate his accomplishments in this industry. Brock Lesnar certainly does have an aura about him when he enters an arena or stadium. (I’ve experienced that “je ne sais quoi” feeling that fills the air when his music hits at live RAW.) And at the end of the day, while I hate to admit it, he is a marquee superstar for the WWE.

Still, he beats to his own drum. He may not be as passionate for this business as some of his peers, but he does know how to get a live crowd excited (with a little help from his Advocate, that is).

While I would love to see a Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe, Rusev, or Drew McIntrye take the crown at WWE Royal Rumble 2020, Brock Lesnar’s (rather, Paul Heyman’s) announcement on last night’s RAW that The Beast was throwing his hat in the ring for the big match in January has me dreaming up different scenario and outcomes.

He’s the WWE Champion, and while he may not be my first choice to carry the holy grail of the Red brand, the powers that be believe he should. With that said, perhaps Lesnar should be the one to take the proverbial 2020 Royal Rumble cake.

Raise your hand if you hate the fact that Brock Lesnar is WWE Champ. It’s kind of hard for me to raise my hand and type at the same time, so hear (or rather, “read”) me out.
