Ronda Rousey eliminates Shayna Baszler (or vice versa)

Both Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler are considered to be favorites to win going into this year’s Royal Rumble match. Rousey as an easy means to finally get us Lynch vs. Rousey at WrestleMania. Baszler as a safe second bet in case Rousey is not available, given the work Baszler did with Lynch during the build to Survivor Series 2019 last fall.

Of course, even if they both wind up in the match together, both Horsewomen are not likely to be co-winners. This isn’t the 1994 Royal Rumble and neither woman is Lex Luger or Bret Hart (although a legit argument can be made for them both being better wrestlers than Hart or Luger ever were, but we’re not ready to have that conversation).

Obviously, one woman would have to be eliminated before the other could win, but the prospect of one eliminating the other presents an interesting prospect as it could open the door for a Ronda Rousey vs. Shayna Baszler match down the line.

Ronda Rousey could eliminate Shayna Baszler before winning the whole match, but the same could happen vice versa, since both women are most likely to win the Women’s Rumble.
