1. Edge

A possible return for Edge to the ring has all of the buzz at the moment. As of earlier this month, reports are circulating that he’s a sure bid for a Royal Rumble entry, but that’s based off news he signed a new deal with WWE in December of last year.

According to Mike Johnson (via PWInsider), the Rumble would be a perfect place to get Edge started on something. He said, “…My gut feeling is we’ll see Edge in the Royal Rumble as a surprise (as that seems like the perfect place to make a big splash with a return for WrestleMania season) and possibly even see him do a few matches on major events.”

Edge got major pops from the Summer Slam fans at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada last  year, and speared Elias during the kickoff show. Here’s what is known: Edge has been out the ring since 2011. He still has that drive and desire to be in the ring.

According to a Pro Wrestling Sheet report (via E & C’s Pod of Awesomeness), Edge said that he felt healthy enough to do one more match. For that to happen, entering the Royal Rumble would be a set up. He would enter and three to four minutes later be eliminated by someone he could start a feud with.

This would keep him safe, and provide the Royal Rumble with some major pops just seeing him in the ring. And again, it cannot be stated enough, you never know how his time in the ring would affect Brock Lesnar.

If he feels as good as he says, and Is confident enough that he can work a small portion of the Rumble without further injuring himself, we’ll see him. Lesnar could benefit from having Edge in the ring because Edge would be the villain turned good guy facing the villain of the ring. That would be worth the watch.
