Women’s Royal Rumble [Over-The-Top Rope Battle Royal]

#1: Alexa Bliss

This was a perfect spot for Alexa Bliss at this year’s Rumble. Nice to see her at #1 for once.

#2: Bianca Belair

Alexa Bliss and Bianca Belair start off the Rumble with some ground based offense.

#3: Mighty Molly Holly

Mighty Molly Holly brings some aerial based offense to the contest, looking strong early on.

#4: Nikki Cross

Nikki Cross runs in to help Alexa Bliss, but Belair and Holly form an alliance to fend off the former Women’s Tag Team Champions.

#5: Lana

Lana cuts a promo about her hot boyfriend, Bobby Lashley, and receives a hard right hand by Bliss.

#6: Mercedes Martinez

Mercedes Martinez looks strong coming into the Rumble and focuses on eliminating Lana.

#7: Liv Morgan

Liv Morgan runs and eliminates Lana right away. Lana is eliminated! Lana is upset and eliminates Morgan from the top rope. Liv Morgan is eliminated.

#8: Mandy Rose

Knowing her beef with Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross, she has a face off with Nikki Cross in the center of the ring.

#9: Candice LeRae

Candice LeRae delivers a picture perfect dropkick to Belair and a Moonsault to Cross. Bianca Belair eliminates Molly Holly. Molly Holly is eliminated. Alexa Bliss tosses Rose over the top rope. Many thought she was eliminated but she fell on Otis, who happened to be outside the ring to save Rose from elimination.

#10: Sonya Deville

Sonya Deville works with Mandy Rose to eliminate Candice LeRae and Mercedes Martinez. They deliver a High Low to Martinez and eliminated her. Mercedes Martinez is eliminated!

#11: Kairi Sane

Kairi Sane plays with her umbrella and delivers some aerial maneuvers to the contestants in the Rumble.

#12: Mia Yim

Mia Yim delivers a leaping Neckbreaker to Kairi Sane and big boot to Nikki Cross. Bliss and Cross focus their attention on Belair, but Belair rallies back to toss Bliss into Cross, forcing an elimination. Nikki Cross is eliminated. Bianca Belair tosses Mandy Rose over the top rope, but Otis catches her. However, that is not enough as Belair tosses Deville into Rose and Otis. Fire and Desire is eliminated.

#13: Dana Brooke

Dana Brooke runs in with fast paced offense. Bianca Belair eliminates Candice LeRae. Alexa Bliss eliminates Kairi Sane off the top rope.

#14: Tamina

Tamina delivers some elbow strikes and superkicks and has a face off with Belair. Belair quickly tosses Tamina over the top rope. Tamina is eliminated. Belair is eliminated.

#15: Dakota Kai

Dakota Kai runs in with a flurry of punches and Helluva Kicks. Meanwhile, Alexa Bliss eliminates Mia Yim. Mia Yim is eliminated.

#16: Chelsea Green

The hottest free agent runs in to eliminate Dakota Kai. Alexa Bliss immediately eliminates Chelsea Green. Chelsea Green is eliminated. Bianca Belair eliminates Dana Brooke. The #1 and #2 entrants, Alexa Bliss and Bianca Belair, are the only ones left in the ring. Bianca Belair eliminates Alexa Bliss and is the current iron woman for the match. She awaits the next entrant.

#17: Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair delivers plenty wooful knife edge chops and a snap suplex to Belair.

#18: Naomi

Naomi is BACK! She delivers a Hurricanrana to Belair and a dropkick to Flair. She teams up with Flair for a double suplex to Belair.

#19: Beth Phoenix

Beth Phoenix makes a legendary return to the Royal Rumble. Naomi rallies back with a flying crossbody to both Flair and Phoenix.

#20: Toni Storm

Toni Storm runs in with elbow strikes to Flair. Belair is about to go on the top rope but Flair delivers a Big Boot to Belair off the top rope to eliminate Belair. Belair is eliminated. She was in the Royal Rumble for 23 minutes, 20 seconds.

#21: Kelly Kelly

Kelly Kelly delivers a Lou Thesz Press to Naomi and a Hurricanrana to Toni Storm. Meanwhile, Beth Phoenix attempts to eliminate Charlotte Flair.

#22: Sarah Logan

Sarah Logan runs right after Charlotte Flair, ready to eliminate her arch nemesis. Unfortunately, Charlotte delivers a Big Boot to Sarah Logan to eliminate Logan. She then eliminates Kelly Kelly with a hard right hand after spurring an expletive.

#23: Natalya

Natalya runs in to help her best friend and tag team partner, Beth Phoenix, in powerbombing Charlotte Flair.

#24: Xia Li

Xia Li delivers her patented spinning heel kicks at will to the contestants in the match. Charlotte attempts to eliminate Xia Li.

#25: Zelina Vega

Zelina Vega delivers a Spinning Torando DDT to Natalya and a Hurricanrana to to Beth Phoenix, who is bleeding like crazy. Vega focuses on Toni Storm. Beth Phoenix gets back up to help Natalya eliminate Charlotte Flair.

#26: Shotzi Blackheart

Shotzi Blackheart runs in with an Enziguiri to Toni Storm. She attempts to eliminate Naomi, but Naomi performs a creative save by running down the steel steps and jumps onto the barricade wall, like John Morrison did years ago.

#27: Carmella

Carmella runs in with a Spinning Hurricanrana to Natalya. Charlotte Flair delivers a Natural Selection to Carmella. Beth Phoenix delivers a Glam Slam to Charlotte Flair. She attempts to eliminate Flair but Flair falls through the middle rope. Meanwhile, Naomi is still trying to get back to the ring as she stands on the announce table.

#28: Tegan Nox

Tegan Nox gets some offense in but runs into a Glam Slam by Phoenix.

#29: Santina Marella

Santina Marella has a Glamarella moment with Beth Phoenix in the ring but gets surrounded by her and Natalya. Marella brings out the cobra and the cobra strikes at herself to force an elimination. Santina Marella is eliminated.

#30: Shayna Baszler

Shayna Baszler, the betting favorite to win the Women’s Royal Rumble, is the last woman to enter the Women’s Royal Rumble. She eliminates Xia Li, Tegan Nox, Shotzi Blackheart, Zelina Vega, Carmella, Toni Storm, and Naomi.

Final 4: Charlotte Flair, Beth Phoenix, Natalya, and Shayna Baszler

Beth Phoenix eliminates Natalya, turning on her best friend and tag partner. Baszler and Flair have a stare off. Phoenix tries to stop it but Baszler eliminates Phoenix. Beth Phoenix is eliminated. Charlotte Flair eliminates Shayna Baszler to win the Women’s Royal Rumble.

Result: Charlotte Flair

Analysis: Awesome spots, but where was Sasha Banks?! Anyways, it was great to see Bianca Belair and Alexa Bliss get plenty of eliminations. The rivalries were well booked and the queens battled at the end. The Queen of Flair prevails over the Queen of Spades and it is quite evident that she is running the Women’s Division.

Who will she pick: Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch or SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley (if they retain later tonight)? Could we see a Four Horsewomen ShowDown at Mania? We shall see. King Corbin has a backstage interview to declare that he will win the Men’s Royal Rumble, irregardless of his loss to Reigns earlier. Up Next: Bayley vs. Lacey Evans for the SmackDown Women’s Championship!
