The Gym Nasty Boys (Timmy Lou Retton and White Mike)

You know we couldn’t not show some love to at least one tag team on the indies before closing this list out.

More from All Elite Wrestling

At the moment, it can already be argued that AEW has the best tag team division in all of wrestling right now. They’ve got The Young Bucks, Proud ‘n’ Powerful and Lucha Bros. just to name a few. Even a comedic duo (trio, if we count Orange Cassidy as a member) like Best Friends feel like legitimate title contenders because they are such a skilled in-ring team.

Speaking of comedy, one interesting thing about AEW is that the promotion isn’t afraid to get a little silly, either on their onscreen product (where MJF can get dumped into a pool moments after emphasizing a blood feud with Cody Rhodes) or on their internet Being the Elite series. One team that would fit AEW’s brand of comedy to a tee would be The Gym Nasty Boys.

Comprised of Timmy Lou Retton and White Mike, The Gym Nasty Boys are just as funny as they are talented. They may easy to laugh at, but do not mistake their happy go lucky characters for guys who can’t go in the ring because they absolutely can. They’ve been known to put on some slobberknocker tag team matches. The comedy only helps the crowd invest, care, and fall in love with their work.

They’d fit right it over at All Elite Wrestling.
