WWE Rumors: Six Superstars suffer head injuries on Royal Rumble weekend
In a rather unusual set of circumstances, six WWE Superstars have been reported to have suffered head injuries between Worlds Collide and the following episode of Raw.
We all understand how dangerous and grueling that the sport of professional wrestling can be on the body, but for three wrestlers to suffer similar head injuries within a three day time span – all under the same WWE banner no less – is a curiously odd, shocking set of circumstances.
The report comes from Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer (h/t WrestlingInc) as he states that Alexander Wolfe, Marcel Barthel, Roderick Strong (all three at Worlds Collide last week Saturday), Samoa Joe, Rey Mysterio, and Riddick Moss (all three on the last episode of Raw two days later)
We all recall how Wolfe and Joe suffered their respective injuries. During the main event of Worlds Collide pitting Imperium vs. Undisputed Era, Wolfe suffered a nasty kick to the face from Bobby Fish that knocked him out cold, though Wolfe later tweeted assuring fans he was “fine” and that he “wish I could have finished the match but safety first.”

Meanwhile, Samoa Joe hit a suicide dive last Monday that saw him land on his head and was sent to the back during the commercial break. It is now believed Joe may have suffered a concussion.
The other four wrestlers injured that Meltzer reported on have yet to be confirmed and it is unclear how any of them would have suffered their injuries.
Both Strong and Barthel were on opposing sides for Undisputed Era vs. Imperium at Worlds Collide. Rey Mysterio wrestled MVP this past Monday and competed in the Royal Rumble match the night before (again, unclear which day he may have suffered a head injury or how). Riddick Moss debuted as Mojo Rawley’s new “offensive lineman.” Although, Moss was not in any physical spot onscreen last Monday so it’s strange to think that he’d even be injured at all at this point.
In all six cases, it is unclear just how severe or serious any of these injuries (if it is to believed all six are suffering injuries, that is) could be. We will just have to wait and see and monitor the situations closely.
