Hangman Page

Similarly to PAC, Hangman finds his time with AEW at a crossroads. Does he continue as a bit player in the Elite, constantly pursuing a level of fame and recognition for in-ring work overshadowed and overlooked by that of his friends?

Or does the character step out on his own and prove his worth to the company and the wrestling world at large as the main event guy? Does he bet on himself or play it safe?

If Hangman’s recent antics on Dynamite are any indication, he feels the same way I do about his time with the company. He wants to be seen as a  legitimate main event player and understands that while he is in the company of the Elite there will always be an asterisk after his name.

What better way to stand out than by working a program with a high profile WWE defector? Someone else who bet on themselves and wants to show the world just how good they truly are

Brodie’s slow, high impact style and Page’s high-speed, high-intensity style would work together in such a unique and interesting way that I for one cannot wait to see it play out on our television screens.

The match-up also allows Lee the perfect opportunity to shift his style from the WWE way of working to the AEW/Indie high spot style if that’s something he is interested in. Although, a slow lumbering monster would be a welcome change of pace from the in-ring work we are now shown.
