WWE Elimination Chamber 2020: 5 possible challengers for Brock Lesnar
Kevin Owens
If Seth Rollins is in the WWE Elimination Chamber 2020 match for Lesnar’s title, then Kevin Owens absolutely has to be in the mix, too. Rollins vs. Owens could be a big-money match at WrestleMania 36, and fans would be extremely disappointed if The Architect and the babyface Prizefighter didn’t fight it out at the Show of Shows.
The story between both former rivals, who had reversed roles during their feud in late 2016, started in the aftermath of Raw’s Survivor Series loss to Roman Reigns’ SmackDown. Rollins slowly devolved into his true self after losing the Universal Title to The Fiend, forming a partnership with the Authors of Pain in order to orchestrate a heinous backstage attack on Owens.
Since then, Rollins has added former Cruiserweight Champion Murphy to his side, winning the Raw Tag Team Titles with the former NXT Tag champ. Rollins, Murphy, and the AoP have feuded with Samoa Joe, Kevin Owens, and the Viking Raiders in Raw’s main event scene.
WWE fans have wanted Owens to face Lesnar for the WWE Championship this year, but KO didn’t pull off an incredible, star-making Royal Rumble victory. That honor was for Drew McIntyre, which ended up going well.
But Owens is still headed for a huge 2020, so he should have a key role to play at this year’s Elimination Chamber PPV.
