Given the state of The Elite as of late, due in part to Adam Page’s newfound relationship with Bud Weiser, it’s safe to say we saw this coming.
Having the Young Bucks as opponents – and winners – at ‘Revolution’ would tie the knot on one of AEW’s longest ‘Being the Elite’ storylines. For the fan tuning in every Wednesday, Page has been a literal douchebag to his Elite brothers for a few weeks.
Fact of the matter is that they’ve been teasing his turn for quite some time.
The Young Bucks is the safest possible play ahead of a monumental pay-per-view event which will see many storylines conclude and create a slew of new arcs. This angle not only allows you to put the straps on the best tag-team in the world, it also sets up a collision course for Page and Omega at ‘Double or Nothing.’
In the ring, this match would be nothing short of extraordinary providing five start quality across the board featuring four of the most talented individuals on the roster in a high stakes face off.
If all matches mean something in AEW, this one is the perfect example.
On one side, your young stud turns on his best friends, on the other, you put the titles on the best tag team in the world. In the end, fans will be left anticipating Page’s turn and celebrating the Bucks’ victory.
