WWE: 3 possible opponents for Braun Strowman as IC Champion

Sportskeeda’s Tom Colohue reported earlier this year that The Miz is one of the wrestlers being mentioned as a possible trade candidate for the Superstar Shakeup after WrestleMania 36. We’ve seen Miz flip between Raw and SmackDown a couple of times, and, in the past, he moved the meter whenever he switched shows.
Miz has been on the periphery in his latest run on SmackDown, though he has recently become an important part of the Blue Brand’s bustling tag team division following John Morrison’s return to WWE.
While The Miz and Morrison are in hot pursuit of the SmackDown Tag Team Championships, I’m not convinced they end up winning the titles. The Usos seem like more logical candidates to become No. 1 Contender’s at the Elimination Chamber and to win the titles outright.
But even if they do win the titles, that won’t stop The Miz from thinking about the Intercontinental Championship, which remains the most prized possession to him. The friendship between Miz and Morrison has caused the A-Lister to focus his attention elsewhere, but I can’t help but think the allure of the IC Title remains in his mind.

A heel Miz trying to weasel his way into a defining victory over Braun Strowman would be quite interesting, especially since he’d get some help from Morrison. But would Morrison’s willingness to help be tested by his own desire to win his first singles title after returning to the company? That very question makes me truly intrigued about the possibility of this rivalry.
