WWE Elimination Chamber 2020: 5 Things That Need To Happen
By Mark Justice
4.) Usos Become #1 Contender’s for The New Day’s SmackDown Tag Team Championship
On the February 21 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, The Usos put the SmackDown Tag Team Division on notice and told The New Day to keep the SmackDown Tag Team Championships warm for them. The New Day retorted that they are still the best tag team because the Usos, who are six-time WWE Tag Team Champions, have one less tag team title reign than The New Day, who are seven-time WWE Tag Team Champions.
This was a decent tease to reignite the rivalry between The Usos and The New Day from 2017. Although The New Day have a strong point in earning one more championship reign than the Usos, The Usos did win their rivalry back in 2017 after winning a brutal Hell in a Cell match.
Henceforth, both teams have a chip on their shoulder and it would be an absolute barn burner to see them fight their hearts out on a big stage, like WWE WrestleMania 36. Although some may not want to see another New Day-Usos rivalry, they still have that ‘fight forever’ feel and they never battled one on one at any WrestleMania.
Since WrestleMania is the stage for high stakes, The New Day should retain their SmackDown Tag Team Championships against John Morrison and The Miz at WWE Super ShowDown 2020 and Usos should win an Elimination Chamber match against the five other SmackDown Tag Teams (i.e. Dirt Sheet, RooDolph, Heavy Machinery, Revival, Lucha House Party) at WWE Elimination Chamber 2020 to become #1 Contender’s for The New Day’s SmackDown Tag Team Championships for WrestleMania 36. All they need is one more match to determine who is truly the very best tag team on the main roster.
3.) Roman Reigns Becomes #1 Contender for Bray Wyatt’s Universal Championship
Roman Reigns, the #1 draft pick to Friday Night SmackDown and the sole survivor for Team SmackDown at Survivor Series, should win the rumored Elimination Chamber match at WWE Elimination Chamber 2020 to become number one contender for Bray Wyatt‘s Universal Championship. He should be Bray Wyatt’s ultimate opponent at WrestleMania 36 because he needs to win back the Universal Championship he never lost after his long and arduous fight against leukemia in 2018.
