Remember earlier when we mentioned that one of Archer’s final matches in NJPW came by losing his IWGP United States Championship to Jon Moxley? Well, that might just be enough to set the stage for a rematch between the two inside of an AEW ring. Possibly even for the title.
It may sound far fetched to imagine how an outsider’s title could be defended inside of another promotion’s ring, but Kenny Omega did so a few months back when he defended his AAA Mega Championship against Jack Evans on a November episode of AEW Dark. It would not be too hard to imagine Archer finally getting his title rematch on Dark, Dynamite, or maybe even on AEW Pay-Per-View.
Even if we do not get Archer vs. Moxley II for the title, there is enough history there that a follow up feud in All Elite Wrestling seems like a no brainer. Fans who are familiar with The American Psycho’s work is surely familiar with his feud with Moxley heading into Wrestle Kingdom and the preceding match that followed.
Anyone aware of that is intrigued enough at the prospect of a rematch in AEW. It’s a money rematch just waiting to happen.
