5.) Aleister Black

Although he is known for walking alone and is now involved in a program with Styles, Aleister Black had a pretty significant rivalry with Buddy Murphy on WWE Raw and he would thereby be a sensible tag team partner for Owens. There were hints of Black being involved in this rivalry when Seth Rollins eliminated him from the Royal Rumble with Murphy’s assistance from the outside.

In fact, once he got eliminated from the Rumble, Black even helped Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe fend off Murphy and AOP into the backstage area. It is quite peculiar as to why WWE did not follow up on this interaction on the following Raw. Nonetheless, it is not too late to insert him into the rivalry now; it is never too late to pick a fight with Aleister Black.

4.) Cedric Alexander

Cedric Alexander also had a memorable rivalry with Buddy Murphy back in 205 Live for the Cruiserweight Championship. However, the booking of Alexander on Raw has been a significant injustice to Alexander’s character development.

He was doing very well in his initial rise to the top, but backstage politicking got in the way of his push and his chances at winning a championship on the main roster got slimmer by the day. Since he has been in a slump as of late with minimal TV time, being Owens’ tag team partner could do wonders for his career and lead him to his very first championship on the main roster.
