WWE Rumors: Former Raw Women’s Champion expected to return soon
Nia Jax has been out since WWE WrestleMania 35 after needing surgeries to repair TWO torn ACLs, but the former Raw Women’s Champion is expected to be back on the Road to WrestleMania 36.
Since wrestling fans saw that Nia Jax was training at the Performance Center in December, many wondered if the “Force of Greatness” could make her highly-anticipated in-ring return at the WWE Royal Rumble Pay Per View in January, competing in the Rumble match.
While Nia didn’t make her return at the show, she’s always seemed more likely to show up at WrestleMania 36. She’s never won the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal – Naomi and Carmella have been the two winners thus far – so the 2019 Men’s Royal Rumble competitor could be a great candidate to win the match upon her return in April.
But maybe Jax could show up on WWE television sooner than the Show of Shows in Tampa.

According to a report from the Wrestling Observer News’ Dave Meltzer, via our friends at IWNerd.com, Jax “should” be ready to make her return to the ring “soon”.
Now “soon” could mean at WrestleMania 36, which would be the more likely and ideal return point for her, but it could also mean that WWE puts her back in the mix before ‘Mania.
There would have to be a reason for that, so it’s easier to have Nia return at the battle royal; WWE wouldn’t have to work her into a storyline. But if they have do plans for her, that would be interesting to monitor.
Nia Jax was one of the heroes at WrestleMania 34, defeating her close friend Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women’s Championship. It’s been her lone title in WWE thus far.
She had two great matches with Ronda Rousey thereafter and competed for the Women’s Tag Titles alongside Tamina at WrestleMania 35 before needing surgery on two torn ACLs.
With bad blood between her and current Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, Nia should be headed for an intriguing return whenever the exact date may be. She’s achieved a great deal of success since joining Raw from NXT in 2016, as she’s also a former Evolution Battle Royal winner.
It will be great to see Nia back in the ring after months off, as it’s unimaginable what it’s like to return from tearing both ACLs.
Nia Jax is currently signed to the Raw brand, so that’s something to keep in mind when discussing her return.
