Ricochet to SmackDown

To say that Ricochet is in a bit of a flux, creatively speaking at the moment, may be an understatement. In the past two weeks, he has been brutalized by Brock Lesnar in under three minutes, beaten by Riddick Moss (of all people) four days later, then disappeared from Raw the following week to wrestle on Main Event instead.

It does not mean that all hope is lost for him, but he’s had a pretty fast fall from grace as of late. It does not look likely that he’ll have a resurgence in time for WrestleMania, but thankfully, post-Mania season is all about fresh starts for people in similar fluxes.

The easiest way to have a fresh start is to switch to a new brand. The best option for the former United States Champion would be on SmackDown.

As talented of an athlete Ricochet is, his character, size and flippy moveset does not quite fit Raw’s grittier, borderline PG-13 sensibilities dominated by big men. With SmackDown being a more family friendly product on FOX with a main event spotlight on smaller sized guys with exciting movesets like Daniel Bryan, Ricochet could flourish over there.
