Managing a New or Returning Superstar

Maybe Paige’s return to the squared circle has more to do with Bayley’s SmackDown Women’s Championship. Specifically, who Bayley could defend that title against at WrestleMania 36, which still seems to be up in the air with just over two weeks to go before the show is set to go on (that is, if the COVID-19 spread doesn’t lead to a further cancellation – as of now, the show goes on, but again, anything can change in two week’s time).

There is a chance that Paige offers her managerial services to a WWE Superstar who uses the newfound support to launch herself into a Mania title match. Perhaps she takes on the services of a certain NXT breakout in Bianca Belair. Of course, Belair was written off NXT recently by Charlotte Flair with an injury angle. Maybe that was just to write her off the show and springboard her towards SmackDown.

Or, maybe Paige uses her Total Divas connections to start managing her pal, Nia Jax in a return from a year long injury. It might be tougher to push Jax as a babyface challenger when we last saw her as a heel, but in returning from a grueling injury with the support of The Anti-Diva, that may be all she needs to get cheers.
