Daniel Bryan vs. The Authority – WM 30

The momentum of the YES! Movement was building up incredible steam in 2013, and it just seemed like the WWE powers that be weren’t paying enough attention.

The WWE Universe wanted to see Daniel Bryan in that main event spot at WM 30, and when a returning Batista won the 2014 Royal Rumble for that year, fans were clear on how they felt about the entire thing via reaction at the event, and social media.

Life mirrored art leading up to WM 30, as Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, better known as The Authority faction at the time, did all they could to stop DB and his YES! Movement from invading the WrestleMania main event, which was seemingly already set in stone with Batista battling then-champ, Randy Orton. Perhaps that is what had so many fans invested.

Fans truly believed the WWE was trying to hold Bryan back and Creative capitalized on this with the storyline.

Regardless, it was a beautiful underdog story where the little guy overcame, and Daniel Bryan not only inserted himself into WM 30’s main event (when all was said and done), but also had two matches on the Grandest Stage of Them All that year, when he fought against Triple Hto qualify for his WM WWE title match.
