Sasha Banks

This is kind of a biased pick, but this is my list. Plus, I’m mad about WWE putting the health and safety of its performers at risk during a pandemic, so if I have to write about WWE MITB 2020, you had better believe I’m going to praise my favorites to the freaking moon. (Speaking of the moon, I miss Ember Moon. Remember her Eclipse at Money in the Bank?)

Anyway, Sasha Banks should be one of the three entrants from SmackDown, because the story with Bayley is developing perfectly. The Boss’N’Hug Connection stole the show yet again – well, if they keep stealing the show, technically they OWN the show at this point – on last week’s episode of SmackDown. Bayley left Banks for dead by forcing her to compete against Tamina, since Tamina called out Bayley for a title match. And before that, Banks looked directly at Bayley when saying “Screw You”, when you would have expected her to look at the camera or “audience”.

Everything is developing perfectly for a SummerSlam (which also probably shouldn’t happen…but we’ll cross that bridge later!) feud between Sasha and Bayley. But remember, The Role Model first won the SmackDown Women’s Championship in a feel-good moment at Money in the Bank last year.

I don’t think Banks wins the ladder match, but her being in the match would be great for *at least* two reasons. Firstly, Banks is amazing and we want to watch her wrestle in big matches any chance we get. Secondly, the intrigue and “What if?” questions about Sasha winning and cashing in on Bayley – on the same night, just as Bayley did to Charlotte Flair one year earlier – would add so much to the build to this PPV that I probably won’t watch anyway.
