1.) Velveteen Dream Defeats Finn Balor

In what should be the main event of this week’s episode of NXT, the #1 contender for Adam Cole’s NXT Championship will battle the #1 contender for Walter’s NXT UK Championship.

Both superstars need to be protected from losing but Dream would benefit more from defeating Finn Balor, who is a former NXT Champion, before going to war with the current NXT Champion.

When Dream returned from injury to in-ring competition, he was not on a roll like Finn Balor. In fact, he even lost his first match back against Roderick Strong inside a steel cage. Clearly, he needs a victory here to be perceived as a worthy contender for Adam Cole’s NXT Championship and the next top star on Wednesday nights.

No matter what, Dream needs to dethrone Adam Cole because the other Undisputed Era members already lost their championships and the entire faction should get called up to the main roster after WWE MITB 2020 or SummerSlam, if this rivalry gets stalled longer than expected.

Also, unlike Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano, Dream has never won the NXT Championship and he is deserving of being the one to take down Adam Cole once and for all.

A dream doesn’t become reality through magic, but it also does not have an expiration date. It is definitely not too late for Dream to be the face of NXT.
