Queen of The Cage

Last seen on a Lockdown card in 2009, The Queen of the Cage match is tailored made for the landscape of the Knockouts division in 2020.

With Jordynne Grace currently reigning as champion and no clear number one contender it seems only fitting that Impact brings back this long-dormant match type. Competitors enter the cage all at the same time and are eliminated by pinfall or submission until only the winner remains. Escaping the cage does not end the match.

Madison Rayne is the only active member of the IMPACT roster who has experience in a Queen of the Cage match competing in the last version of that match that took place in 2009. She would be an invaluable resource in this match in assisting the younger talents to navigate these long untouched waters.

Ideally, we will see Rayne face off against  Havok, Rosemary, and Su Yung until only Rosemary and Rayne remain. With Rayne securing the pinfall over Rosemary to become the number one contender for Jordynne Grace’s championship.

This allows Grace to work with an experienced worker and one of the greatest knockouts in history and could lead to some truly incredible matches. It also elevates Rayne back to the main event scene for the first time since before her time in Ring of Honor which someone of her stature and tenure deserves.
