2.) Velveteen Dream

When John Cena revealed his dream NXT opponent to be Velveteen Dream, that revelation went viral and there’s a good reason why. Their wrestling styles would mesh very well in the squared circle and their promos would be so eerie but satisfying.

As can be indicated by Cena’s rivalry with the estranged Bray Wyatt, he should be ready to work with the bizarre Velveteen Dream. If Velveteen Dream foreseeably dethrones Adam Cole to become the new NXT Champion on this week’s NXT, he should defend the championship against Cena at some point during his title reign.

The WWE brought Charlotte Flair to NXT as NXT Women’s Champion to draw more eyes to the product in its Wednesday Night Wars with AEW, but what if they brought John Cena to the yellow brand? Since John Cena is obviously a big name with immense drawing power, his rivalry with Velveteen Dream for the NXT Championship would help the ratings.

Doing this will also help Dream solidify his position as the new face on NXT and Cena would be doing his job as a veteran babyface in propelling Dream to main event greatness. It is a ‘dream’ match a lifetime in the making (pun fully intended).
