Since making his debut, Archer has gone undefeated.

He has beaten Marko Stunt, Alan Angels, Colt Cabana and Dustin Rhodes. Being booked as a (Murderhawk) monster is working so far.

He has used a couple of finishers in his four matches including the Blackout and slamming his opponent’s head into the mat repeatedly before pinning them. Interestingly, he has not beaten them with his version of the Mandible Claw (since renamed the “EBD Claw” for Everybody Dies).

While Archer had some very quick matches with Stunt and Angels, his tournament matches were gradually longer. His longest match thus far was the semi-final match against Rhodes, clocking in at 22:44.

It will be the first time that Cody has faced Archer. While they were in Japan at the same time, Archer was in a tag team with Davey Boy Smith as part of Killer Elite Squad. By the time Archer went solo, Cody had already cut ties with NJPW.

In order to continue his domination and to live up to the “Murderhawk Monster” moniker, Archer must beat Cody.

Cody will undoubtedly be his biggest and toughest opponent to date. Combine the direction of Roberts, his undefeated streak and a title shot and you have a very determined, formidable monster.

Could this be where Archer finally debuts the EBD Claw?
