There’s no better way to cement Archer’s status than by crowning him champion.

He has been a force to be reckoned with in his brief time in AEW. By not only becoming champion, but the inaugural TNT Champion would speak volumes. It would show that AEW is serious about making him a star.

The TNT Championship will be AEW’s fourth title, so being the inaugural champion is a big deal. Archer would go down in AEW’s history book.

As TNT Champion, he would lead those not quite ready for the World Championship picture. He would have his pick of talent to demolish such as Jimmy Havoc, Joey Janela and Jungle Boy. Can you imagine the hoss battle between Archer and WARDLOW?

He’ll likely face the other men that competed for a shot at the TNT Championship in Darby Allin, Sammy Guevara and Kip Sabian.

Archer would be an anchor of a division and it would be built around him. Winning would catapult him to the forefront while putting him on the brink of the AEW World Championship picture.

Crowning Archer champion will also quiet the argument that AEW only pushes former WWE talent to be champion (yes, he was briefly in WWE, but he was nowhere near the level of Jericho or Moxley).
