WWE: 3 post-WrestleMania storylines for Edge
By Mark Justice
1.) Seth Rollins
The parallels between the careers of Edge and Seth Rollins have been insurmountable. Both superstars sold their souls to corporate greed (i.e. the Authority) to capitalize on championship opportunities. Both won the MITB contract and both won the Royal Rumble. The real question remains: Why have they not been in the ring yet?
After Seth Rollins finishes putting Drew McIntyre over at WWE MITB 2020, his next opponent should be Edge. Now that Rollins is the Monday Night Messiah, his new gimmick could even add a new element to his rivalry with Edge, starting on the Raw after MITB.
Considering that Edge received some unnecessary backlash from WWE fans about his Last Man Standing Match with Orton at WrestleMania 36, he could probably redeem himself with a show-stealing match with Rollins. When any superstar in the locker room steps in the ring or talks on the mic with Seth Rollins, magic happens.
This speaks volumes to how consistent and great of a worker Rollins tends to be both inside and outside the ring.
Quite frankly, Edge has that same quality and meshing his greatness with Rollins’ greatness could be too aesthetically powerful for the dynamics of WWE’s booking but would be substantially fruitful for the fans watching at home.
