WWE’s Final Pitch

Pictures leaked online of The Revolt in outlandishly bad attire mockups—Flavor Flav clocks, glow sticks, bow ties, etc.—which The Revolt confirmed were presented to them by Vince McMahon himself.

The mockups were drawn to display a more charismatic and dynamic side to the “Top Guys”, with the idea that they would dress in those costumes to spite the comedic favoritism and lack of respect for the tag team division. The idea behind the mockups was considered to be in good faith but Wheeler specifically recalled being so displeased with the attire suggestion, he reacted by laughing in everyone’s faces.

Both men agreed to move forward with the idea to make the best of the situation, having already made it clear to management that they were certainly going to leave when their contracts expired. However, none of this came to fruition as they were eventually pulled off of television altogether.

They’re In No Rush To Sign Anywhere

Although tag team wrestling appears to be red-hot outside of WWE, it hasn’t sparked a rush for The Revolt to commit to another wrestling promotion just yet. They likened wrestling to a relationship in the sense of needing time off before jumping to the next endeavor and expressed enjoyment about their freedom to relax while being in control of their own destinies.

A match with The Young Bucks has been teased for years at this point, primarily through some NSFW language directed at The Revolt from AEW higher-ups. The Revolt also brought up The North, The Briscoes, and Guerrillas of Destiny as examples of teams they’d like to wrestle in the future.
