Tension grows between Page and Omega, because of Hardy

We haven’t seen Hangman Page on television in over a month; not since the first pandemic episode of Dynamite. Yet, the other half of the Tag Team Champions has already found a replacement partner in the form of Matt Hardy.

Omega and Hardy failed to get the job done during a chaotic street fight main event against Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara, but are likely to bounce back with a win over their advertised opponents Jimmy Havoc and Kip Sabian. Whether Hangman appears tomorrow night or not, Page is going to take umbrage with being replaced so easily, even if Omega has every reason to find a replacement when his partner has been M.I.A. for a month.

Prior to the pandemic, tension was already being teased between Page and Omega and seeing himself replaced likely isn’t going to smooth things over. And if Omega goes one step above the disrespect by dubbing Hardy an interim champion to defend the titles with until Page comes back, then that throws a whole new wrench into their dynamic.

So whether it be in person, via satellite, or simply in a tweet, expect some words from everyone’s favorite alcoholic cowboy.
